Blerim Reka is professor of Public International Law and EU Law. He has completed specialization programs in internationally renowned universities and institutes, such as: University of Southern California, Los Angeles (Fulbright), Harvard (John F. Kennedy School of Government), in CASIN, Geneva, CEU, Budapest, etc. From 2006 to 2010, he served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to European Union, Brussels.
He served as Pro-Rector for Science and International Relations in the South East European University, Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and Public Administration, Dean of the Faculty of Law in this University, and Professor in the Faculty of Political Sciences in the University of Prishtina.
He has lectured at the University of Bologna, Graz, Calabria, University of Southern California, University of South Florida, and was member of the doctoral committees in the Sorbonne University and Catholic University of Leuven.
He was editor of the “Encyclopedic Dictionary” of the Kosovo Academy of Science and Arts for the field of law and politics. He served as expert for the Balkans in “Geopolitical Intelligence Services” of the Prince of Liechtenstein.
He has authored 20 books in the field of international law, international relations and EU Law; the newest to be published this month in USA is “Balkans Geopolitics: from Cold War to Hot Peace”.
