Minister Hoxha hosted Ambassador Maksymiuk in a meeting, Kosovo and Canada - an exemplary friendship
Prishtina, 10 August 2018 - The Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted in a meeting the Ambassador of Canada in Croatia, non-resident to the Republic of Kosovo, Daniel Maksymiuk, with whom she discussed on the integration process and institutional engagement in this direction.
The implementation of the SAA is a priority task of the Government, emphasized Minister Hoxha, pointing out that this Agreement is the first contract between Kosovo and the European Union. The Minister also greatly appreciated Canada's support and friendship for the citizens and the state of Kosovo, calling it an exemplary friendship.
''The integration process is, with no exception, a consensual priority of our country, of the political parties and of the central and local institutions. We have proved that we are ready for the visa liberalization process, we have fulfilled all the criteria and we are ready to implement the other obligations arising from international agreements", said Minister Hoxha, adding that the reforms undertaken and the intensification of institutional engagement for the integration process are comprehensive.
The non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo, Daniel Maksymiuk, stressed that he supports Kosovo's commitment to the integration path, providing his country's support in this process. Canada has stood and stands alongside Kosovo as a friendly country that also contributes to the integration in international institutions, he stressed.
