Minister Hoxha received in a meeting the UNDP representative, Ms Maria Suokko, as they discuss on deepening the cooperation
Prishtina, 09 July 2019 - Minister of European Integration, Mrs Dhurata Hoxha, received in the meeting the newly appointed UNDP Resident Representative in Kosovo, Ms. Maria Suokko (Finland) as they discuss the very good relations between the Ministry and the UNDP.
Minister Hoxha highly praised the work and experience of the new Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) since 2000 and expressed the willingness to cooperate towards common interests and goals.
“UNDP has played a major role in Kosovo's sustainable development, therefore we highly appreciate the engagement of this organization which has been focused on priorities that are worthy to and valuable for our citizens, in particular women's empowerment and gender equality”, stated Minister Hoxha and expressed the willingness to cooperate in the realization of UNDP's priorities for the best future of all Kosovo citizens.
UNDP Kosovo Resident Representative, Ms Maria Suokko stated that she took office at a very important moment since the office is marking the 20th anniversary of successful cooperation in Kosovo, and stressed that it will provide for full cooperation with the Ministry of European Integration.
Minister Hoxha and Ms Suokko agreed that cooperation on the path and the goals of sustainable development can deepen and can be strengthened for the citizens of Kosovo and they are ready for this cooperation.
