Minister Çitaku meets with the Turkish Ambassador in Kosovo

Prishtina, 9 March 2011 – The Minister of European Integration Vlora Çitaku met the Turkish Ambassador to Kosovo, Songül OZAN.
In the meeting, Ambassador Ozan emphasized that: Turkey has been and continues to stand by Kosovo in its path toward institutional and economic development. I promise to support and assist the Ministry of European Integration in institutional capacity building and in all spheres contributing toward Kosovo.

In the meeting, Minister Çitaku also informed the ambassador about the work and priorities of the MEI and cooperation with all EU mechanisms and Ambassadors of EU countries in Kosovo.

Speaking about the internal institutional aspect, Minister Çitaku emphasized the change in the new Government’s approach to the European agenda, demonstrated by the approval of the Regulation on Departments of European Integration and Policy Coordination within respective ministries, in the first Government meeting; thus, greater commitment is anticipated, and an increase in working efficiency within the government institutions.
