Department of Sectoral Policies

1. Duties and responsibilities of the Department of Sectoral Policies are:

1.1. Coordinates the Stabilisation and Association process, in the  area of negotiating chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.2. Coordinates the Government European integration negotiation structures, in the  area of negotiating chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.3. Coordinates preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Government European integration strategic documents, in the  area of negotiating chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.4. Coordinates regular reporting to the European Commission, in the  area of negotiating chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.5. Supports the institutional development for the implementation of the acquis communautaire, in the  area of negotiating chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.6. Supports the approximation process of respective chapters of the acquis communautaire, in the  area of negotiating chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.7. Implements uniform instructions and methodology set by Department of Coordination of the Stabilisation and Association Process.

2. Head of the Department of Sectoral Policies reports to the Secretary-General.

3. This Department has the followingDivisions:

3.1. Division of Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development and Food Safety; and

3.2. Division of Environment, Energy and Transport.

Division of Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development and Food Safety

1. Duties and responsibilities of the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development and Food Safety are:

1.1. Coordinates the Stabilisation and Association process, in the area of the negotiating chapters 11, 12 and 13;

1.2. Coordinates the Government European integration negotiation structures, in the area of the negotiating chapters 11, 12 and 13;

1.3. Coordinates preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Government European integration strategic documents, in the area of the negotiating chapters 11, 12 and 13;

1.4. Coordinates regular reporting to the European Commission, in the area of the negotiating chapters 11, 12 and 13;

1.5. Supports the institutional development for the implementation of the acquis communautaire, in the area of the negotiating chapters 11, 12 and 13;

1.6. Supports the approximation process of respective chapters of the acquis communautaire, in the area defined by the substance of the negotiating chapters 11, 12 and 13.

2. Head of the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development and Food Safety reports to the Head of Department.

Division of Environment, Energy and Transport

1. Duties and responsibilities of the Division of Environment, Energy and Transport are:

1.1. Coordinates the Stabilisation and Association process, in the area of the negotiating chapters 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.2. Coordinates the Government European integration negotiation structures, in the area of the negotiating chapters 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.3. Coordinates preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Government European integration strategic documents, in the area of the negotiating chapters 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.4. Coordinates regular reporting to the European Commission, in the area of the negotiating chapters 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.5. Supports the institutional development for the implementation of the acquis communautaire, in the area of the negotiating chapters 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27;

1.6. Supports in the approximation process of respective chapters of the acquis communautaire, in the area of the negotiating chapters 14, 15, 21, 22 and 27.

2. Head of the Division of Environment, Energy and Transport reports to the Head of Department.
